Hello, I am an active trader of Apple stock & options.  I have been a long-time Apple user and investor since the 1970’s.  I grew up with the Apple II computer my father purchased for our family when I was in high school.  In college, I bought my first Mac -- the original 128K Mac shown above.  I have owned many Apple products over the years and am passing on the tradition to my children.

The other photo is my “trading desk”.  I use a 13” Apple MacBook Pro along with a 27” monitor for my ThinkorSwim trading platform and will also have Fidelity’s Active Trade Pro running on this.  I use the 11” MacBook Air for posting on the forum / chatroom during the day.  The 11 year old eMac at the far right is the server for my home surveillance system -- I can monitor what is going on outside as I am working.  I have another laptop as a back-up for when I am day-trading options and can’t afford to have any computer problems.

I have been very successful investing and trading Apple stock / options and have learned some strategies that others may find useful.   I also enjoy analyzing Apple data to look for trends and have included my findings as well as examples of real trades done this year.  I am sharing this to help others enjoy success with their trading.

I used iWeb to build this site -- unfortunately, it does not allow a blog w/ comments.  You can contact me directly by using the “Email Me” button at the bottom of this page.

Security note:  I never ask for information of any kind from users of this site.  It is a one-way street -- I provide the information.  If you are ever requested to provide information, let me know immediately.

If you are able to profit using the strategies & info from this site - great.  All I ask is you share some of your gains with your favorite charity.  If you don’t have a charity and want to Donate, use the button above.  These funds will be used to support the costs of this site, the forum / chat room I also administer, and any other costs to keep these running.   And, of course, be sure to buy more Apple products!!!

The proceeds from the ads on this site are used as a learning tool for my kids.  They have to pick a charity and all the ad $$ goes to the charity of their choice.  I am a believer if you do good things for others, good things will come your way.

Happy Investing.

Overview of Key Pages:  You can click on the name to take you to that page:

Price History:  this page has the historical Apple and S&P daily closing prices since June 30, 2010 along with the Apple PE.  I analyze the price movement starting on this date as weekly Apple options began trading around this time.  This page also has a significant amount of data that analyzes many different price movement time periods to assist with weekly and monthly option analysis.

Day / Week Stats:  this page has several tables.

  1. how Apple historically trades on individual days of the week versus the S&P.  Note that Apple historically trades higher on Mondays and lower on Fridays.  I feel this is due to the popularity of the Apple weekly options.

  2. historical consecutive up / down days for Apple.  Helpful to know if a trend may be broken soon.

  3. historical weekly price changes for Apple price on Friday (weekly op ex) based on various starting points.  This is used to set some appropriate % ranges for trading weekly option spreads.

Monthly Op Ex Stats:  this page analyzes Apple price movement over different periods to help in choosing appropriate % ranges for trading monthly option spreads.  The last 2 tables show how Apple trades the week of monthly op ex and the week after monthly op ex.  Apple much stronger the week after.

Quarterly Stats:  this page analyzes Apple price and PE changes over quarterly time periods.  It demonstrates how Apple’s PE has compressed in recent quarters.  This can assist you in projecting the low, average, and high for the current quarter and the corresponding Apple price.

Event Price Change:  this page shows how Apple has traded around key events in the past.  I include iPhone / iPad events as well as the Apple WWDC conference held in June.

Earnings Price Change: this is a table that tracks how Apple trades over several time periods before and after earnings.  This is great info to use for optimal entry and exit times for trades made around earnings.

Price Projection:  I use trailing earnings and historical PE information to develop some price projections for Apple at the next day of earnings and day after earnings.

Investing / Apple Links:  these are some of the outside web pages I may use in my analysis of Apple.  It includes investing links as well as links to Apple news / rumor sites.  It is important to keep up with any Apple news that could impact the stock / options prices.
